August, Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on 2.

Saira, who has been married to the celebrity as more than five decades and is now 22 years younger to him, accompanied Dilip Kumar when he was wheeled from the hospital here.

She told the press: “He’s in good health now. All of it felt like a nightmare… The way he suddenly fell sick. I’m thankful to the Almighty… This has been a miracle.”

Saira expressed gratitude for lovers who dared to his well-being, and thanked the management, physicians and team members of the Bandra West centre for taking care of Dilip Kumar.

“The Truth were accepted by Allah and he’s feeling well now… I can’t tell you how grateful I am to God which we’ve come from the.

“It was a dreadful thing that occurred. In a couple of days, he dropped sick that we simply didn’t know just what to do.”

She hoped that “after going home he’ll feel much better soon”.

Ajay Kumar Pande, vice president, Lilavati Hospital, told IANS on Wednesday the Dilip Kumar was “crucial” when he was admitted to the hospital more than signs of dehydration and urinary tract disease.

High cholesterol and creatinine levels had raised concerns that the actor might have to be put on dialysis. After he started responding to treatment but physicians had determined against it.

Pande called Saira that a “sati Savitri” because of her devotion to her husband.

Saira laughed and stated: “If a woman’s husband’s India’s ‘Kohinoor’, why will not his wife be ‘sati Savitri’. All sisters love their husbands and it’s no huge thing. Whatever I’m doing I will not say that I’m taking good care of him… It’s my love for him and I am prepared to take action 100 times more for him.”

Last seen on the big screen in Qila in 1998, the celebrity was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. He’s famous for films like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam and Karma.
